Kit Carson Peak 14,165 foot mountain in the Sangre De Cristo Range in southern Colorado. It is the 23rd highest mountain in Colorado. My hiking partners for this rough hike were Bob, David, Ethan, and Josh.

I was not able to make it to the top. I only could handle the 6 hours (around 5.5 miles with over 4,000 feet of elevation gain). I ended up around 1.5 miles and 1,500 feet short. I just had no more energy. Bob made it up to Challenger Point and the other guys made it to the top of Kit Carson.

Everything is so green and there was still a look of dew on the plants.	There were a lot of down trees.
